Whitepages TenantCheck will send an email to the address provided by the landlord for the prospective tenant. If you didn't find the email in their inbox, one of two things likely happened:
- Your email service blocked or filtered the email out of your primary inbox.
- The landlord input the incorrect email address.
For the first case, depending on your email settings, emails from Whitepages TenantCheck may have ended up in a separate folder, such as spam, junk, updates, or promotions. Please check these folders for an email that looks something like this:
You can also try searching your mailbox for "Whitepages TenantCheck." If you're still unable to find it, it is possible that your email service blocked our email entirely. If that is the case, we would recommend adding "reply@email-whitepages.com" to your contacts or safe senders list.
For the second case, if the landlord incorrectly input the email address into the application request, they can always cancel it and send a new one to the correct email address. For steps on how the landlord can cancel a pending application request, please see this article: How do I cancel an application that I sent to a tenant?
